Last Wednesday, Pastor Jackson and Rev. Luis-Alfredo Cartagena, Assistant Pastor for Outreach, spoke on behalf of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Farm Labor Organizing Committee at the Phillip Morris International (PMI) Annual Meeting urging PMI to improve the working and living conditions of migrant farm workers on farms in North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee. The Disciples of Christ have had an 85 year commitment to farm work justice and urging PMI to improve the living and working conditions is yet another part of this commitment.
