Choral classics, Jazz, great hymns, World Music, Renaissance gems for recorders, Gospel music, organ masterworks - you'll hear them all at The Park!
The music ministry of Park Avenue Christian Church plays a vital role in our worship life, helping God's people to offer their heartfelt praise and prayer through hymns, responses, Psalm singing, choral anthems, instrumental music and more! We are committed to musical diversity and excellence, and welcome the gifts of children, students, volunteers and professional musicians from our congregation and community. Above all, we seek to provide opportunities for learning and growth and hope that our work together will glorify God, build a community of respect and love, and help each of us to realize our greatest potential.
You are warmly invited to join any of the choirs or ensembles described below. For more information, please contact Minister of Music, Paul Vasile.
SANCTUARY CHOIR
Volunteers of all voice parts are welcome to join the Sanctuary Choir which sings at our 11 a.m. Worship Celebration weekly. Rehearsals are held each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and the first Tuesday evening of every month at 7:30 p.m. We also offer a special Voice Class the third Tuesday of each month, which focuses on voice training, sight singing and other valuable, musical skills.
GOSPEL CHOIR
The PACC Gospel Choir sings at our 11 a.m. Worship Celebration once a month throughout the year. No audition is necessary; anyone who loves to sing is welcome to join us! Music will be learned by ear with lots of repetition, energy and movement. Rehearsals will be periodic, held three or four consecutive Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m. before a Sunday service.

THE PARK AVENUE YOUTH CHORALE
Our newest choir offers a unique musical experience for youth (Grades 3-12) and families in New York City. Click here for more information.
DRUMMING CIRCLE
For those who want to connect to the rhythms of our faith, a monthly Drumming Circle will help to bring energy and vitality to our services. Simply bring a drum or percussion instrument (we'll have plenty on hand if you don't) and we'll drum, chant, and praise God together. We'll resume again in the fall and invite you to watch this space for future updates.
RECORDER CONSORT
The PACC Recorder Consort performs in our 11 a.m. Worship Celebration several times a year. They also keep busy performing in community concerts and events throughout the city. For more information on playing with the group, contact director Estella Pate.
CONCERTS AND RECITALS
The Sanctuary is a splendid venue for live music; a wide array of concerts and recitals are offered throughout the year. For a complete concert calendar, please click here.
If you are a singer, instrumentalist or an ensemble looking for a venue in New York City, please contact Paul Vasile for more information about performance opportunities and/or rental rates.
